We were waiting for long time, and finally Ippudo opened on September 10th. At the end of January, Mega Fashion Hall had opened, and I noticed that Ippudo will be there. Waited for 7month, now I can go there.

Hearing from Ippudo Japanese manager Shiiba-san, they did lots of promotions, such as TV, magazines, blogs, etc. They also did private tasting event for media… although I was not invited. With those kind of promotion and Facebooks etc., lots of Philippinos knew about Ippudo and came to Ippudo. From the first day, lots of people came to Ippudo and had to wait for an hour. When I went there on Saturday 10:40AM, there were already around 40 people in line. Amazing..
Lots of people are coming there with friends, families. There are few people coming alone like me. Usually I had to wait for 40 – 60 min, but since I was alone and luckily one seat was available, I could get in to restaurant in 15min.
Menu is like this. Shiromaru : 375peso, Akamurau : 390peso. Although there are factors such as yen weakening and consumption tax, price is a bit more expensive than that in Japan, Shiromaru : 780yen(320peso), Akamaru : 830yen(340peso). Even though, Ippudo is very crowded everyday.
I ordered Shiromaru tamago (405peso) and Oroshi ponzu gyoza (210peso). After 10min, ramen and gyoza came here. Wow, it seems nice. Just seeing it, I could feel good taste. Soup was nice and noodle was good. It’s like I’m eating Ippudo ramen in Japan. I cannot recognize the difference between Ippudo in Manila and Japan. Delicious!! I hope many Filipinos eat Ippudo delicious ramen!!
Want delicious Japanese taste ramen? Go to Ippudo!!!
